This Holiday Season we will be conducting our 2nd annual Help for the Homeless Warm Clothing and Blanket Drive.

Alongside our annual Feed the Homeless mission, S.I.S.T.E.R. is collecting and distributing warm clothing and blankets to the DMV's homeless, and we need your help.  We all know that when we pool our efforts we have a greater impact on the lives of those in need.

We hope to garner the support of the area's most generous people and collect and distribute blankets and warm clothing to assist the area's homeless during what is predicted to be another one of the DMV's harshest winters.

According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, the Washington DC Area has the fifth largest homeless population in the country equating to roughly 13,205 homeless people living in our backyard.

On the afternoon of November 27th, Thanksgiving Eve, S.I.S.T.E.R., in conjunction with Nationwide Homeless Hotel-styled Shelters & Services Inc will combine efforts to meet the needs of the area’s homeless by providing a hot home cooked Thanksgiving meal in the Park and provide some of the  warm clothes and blankets donated by people of the area, while collecting cans to raise funds to pay for housing for the homeless.
